Today’s “Featured Artist and Song of the Day” showcases Duluth, Minnesota’s own, Trampled By Turtles, with their cover of the Pixies’ song, “Where Is My Mind?” which is a digital single, can be purchased here for $.99, with all proceeds going to benefit WhyHunger, the organization founded by the late singer-songwriter, Harry Chapin.  The organization supports grassroots solutions to inspire self-reliance and community empowerment to connect people to nutritious, affordable food.  Again, as I wrote recently, one can’t beat listening to great music while supporting a great cause.

Trampled By Turtles released the video for “Where Is My Mind?” November 29, 2011, which is directed and produced by Justin Gustavision, who also did their videos for “Wait So Long,” and “Victory.”  The video features pictures of fans as well as clips from their show in Louisville at Headliners.  Also, take note of the picture 2 minutes and 28 seconds into  the song.  It shows the back of a guy’s head looking off into Rocky Mountain National Park.
