Today’s “Featured Artist and Song of the Day” showcases Reykjavík, Iceland’s own, Seabear, with their song, “Arms,” off their debut album, The Ghost That Carried Us Away, through Morr Music.  The band is comprised of  Sindri Már Sigfússon, Gudbjörg Hlin Gudmundsdottir, Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir, Halldór (Dóri) Ragnarsson, Örn Ingi Ágústsson, Kjartan Bragi Bjarnason, and Sóley Stefánsdóttir.  They have since released their second LP-We Built a Fire.

The band members are extremely talented, as many have a variety of other side projects, involving music, as well as art.  They are currently not touring, but when new dates are made available, The Troubadour’s Road will be sure to publish them.  The US looks forward to the next time they get back to the States.

These words find their place in the song, “Arms,”

“You left your black gloves on my table
You left your dark horse in my stable
Thinking of a way, to get you to stay
And I promise to fight the wind and wait for you…
…are an owl, with tired eyes
I am a scarecrow in disguise

We often go out pacing
When all I want to do is stay inside and lookout the window…
…with you…”

For updates, tour dates, and other news click on their website, you can buy their music on iTunes, and can follow them on their Facebook Page.  Until the next show, or until the next time you’ll be able to listen to them, here is Seabear, with their song, “Arms,” enjoy,
