Today’s “Featured Artist and Song of the Day” showcases Lord Huron, with the song, “The Stranger,” off the Mighty EP, which was released independently. Lord Huron is the band alias of the talented, singer/songwriter, Ben Schneider, who grew up Michigan, and now resides in Los Angeles. The featured video shows the incredible work of Jacob Mendel, who not only directed the video, but edited it, along with Yuki Aizawa. It was shot in the winter in Michigan, and as you’ll see, those are not the easiest to handle, for the cold bites, and the snow piles up.
The Troubadour’s Road digs the sound of Lord Huron, and looks forward to what is to come. Schneider’s words are good words, and will continued to be featured as he wanders down the troubadour’s road.
These words begin the song, “The Stranger,”
“I can’t trust anyone, no anything these days
If you are who you say you are then show me your face
Came out of the ocean like you came out of a dream
Your voice it sounds familiar but you are not what you seem
I decided if it kills me I’ll find out what you’re about
I can’t trust anyone, no anything these days But I know what you want and why
Of all the strangers you’re the strangest that I see
I’m not afraid to die
I can’t trust anyone, no anything these days…”
