Today’s “Featured Artist and Song of the Day” showcases Houston, Texas’ own, BUXTON, with their song, “Boy of Nine,” off the album, Nothing Here Seems Strange, which is set to be released on January 31, 2012, through New West Records.  You can pre-order the album at Amazon.  The talented group consists of Sergio Trevino, Chris Wise, Jason Willis, Justin Terrell, Austin Sepulvado, and Haley Barnes.

BUXTON is off to an incredible start to 2012, and I’m sure are just as anxious as the fans to release their album.  They are a band to look out for in 2012, and will be a staple on The Troubadour’s Road.

These words begin the song, “Boy of Nine,”

“When I was a boy of nine
I loved you with all my mind
All my heart, all my soul
Love me now or lose it all

Your sister Jean and Anne Marie
Say that you’re in love with me
Is there something I don’t see?
Love me know or leave me be

Down by the river on past the creek.
All the way to widow’s peak
Proclaimed my love but you didn’t speak
Love me now or hold your peace…”

For updates, tour dates, and other news click on their website, you can pre-order the album on Amazon, and can follow them on their Facebook Page.  BUXTON has upcoming tour dates to release and promote their new album.  Until the next show, or until the next time you’ll be able to listen to them, here is BUXTON, with their song, “Boy of Nine,” enjoy,
